This morning, however, the notice from TaskStream was there to greet me as the first thing I saw when I opened my email: "Notification of Work Sent Back". @$%&!@#$!!!!!!! Are you blanking kidding me? Remember, I don't even need this class anymore. As of April 1, I'm no longer in the program that requires it. Yes, yes, I know, it was only my first revision, but also please empathize with me. I've been working on this class since early December. No typo there, friends. This bloody class has taken me 4 months thus far and I'm still not done yet. My end of term is quickly approaching and I'm starting to freak out a bit. This, on top of the intense frustration I feel.
A tip that my student mentor, Kelly gave me when I started the program was to highlight the sections that have been revised when resubmitting work. She also said that this may help win favor of the graders because then they don't have to re-read the entire paper. (Graders also cannot renege on a passing grade.)
One of the areas that I failed. again. is a section that isn't even a real "section". See, the task is written in outline form, i.e.
A. Background for question
1. Specifically address this in your answer
It is not clear (and this is true of most assignments) when you are supposed to write an answer for A, A1, or both. Well I didn't answer the question for A; however I managed to pass A1. Go figure.
Even with the input from the grader, who is clearly being pissy with me now, from his comments, "This element does not seemed to have been revised. ", I am completely at a loss for what kind of BS I'm supposed to put in this paper at this point. &%$@!! You, Mr. Pissy Grader-Pants! (I know, I'm immature, it's one of my few charming attributes.)
What to do? If the course mentor was at all competent, I would email him and say, "Mr. Course Mentor, since you have access, could you please pull up the comments from Mr. Pissy Grader-Pants, and give me some input as to what I need to do to pass this task"? Unfortunately, the CM for this class is not competent, nor does he have any interpersonal skills to speak of so I'm on my own. (Sorry for the negativity. I'm travelling, and I've not been able to get in my usual runs to work out this frustration.)
I'm hoping to work on this today, and resubmit it by tonight. Wish me well!
Forward...grr!
